Real Estate and video marketing are a perfect marriage. Our videos help agents reach an exponentially larger audience, while also strengthening their portfolio with consistent premium videos. This is an appealing factor to potential clients/homeowners looking to hire a new agent as well. This blog will break down the specifics on what separates us from our local competitors when it comes to shooting your listing, from price points to equipment specs to casting professional models and much more!
Our consultation with the agent is an essential step before we begin rolling the cameras. First, location. The environment and surrounding community play pivotal roles in a sell, so we make it a point to do our research on the unique aspects and areas of the given location.
Another decision made in the pre-production phase is if the piece will incorporate a "lifestyle" aspect; featuring professional models utilizing the space throughout the video. Steel Cut does all the foot work in casting and hiring the models, as well as direction on set. Reserving high-end automobiles is also an option when creating lifestyle videos. This raises the production value and also adds an element of relatability as the audience watches the space of the home being used.
Before all our productions, we do a basic equipment check. Here's what we look for:

It takes a lot of equipment to get the right frame. Every home is different, so we approach every shoot and every edit with an open mind by adhering to the unique surroundings, but there are many tools we can utilize to create different emotions in a shot. For instance: Our DJI Ronin SteadiCam rig can give a smooth, sweeping effect, perfect for a large, open interior that flows well. Or our Motion Control slider, which can create stylized movement in smaller areas, conveying specific points of interest (tight kitchen corners, office spaces, living rooms, reading nooks, etc.). While both options involve movement, the end results create different looks.
It's 2017; fast results are becoming a common necessity. With our newly installed 12-Core Intel Processor, Steel Cut ensures the fastest turnaround time available.
Aside from the technical specs that make our editing station a powerhouse, the nuances of our edits will help you stand out as a brand. Music is the backbone to all our edits. Our exclusive music selection is purchased and licensed for international use, and included in all our standard rates.
Before delivering, we take the cut into Da Vinci Resolve and color grade shot by shot. This ensures the highest possible quality, bringing out textures and details in granite, wood, flooring, etc.
If you shop around, you'll find prices varying from $1,000 to $20,000 for a standard production. Steel Cut offers the most consistent prices around for premium quality work, while staying well under our competitors quotes. Contact us today to hear about our price points!
